HealthTech Tribe: Accelerating HealthTech and Biomedical Innovation in Singapore and SE Asia: Lessons from the US
Acting as a catalyst in HealthTech in Asia, Galen Growth Asia is proud to welcome Dr Mark McClellan, former Administrator of the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and former US FDA Commissioner, and team members from the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, Duke Global Health Innovation Center, and Duke-NUS engaged in biomedical innovation, care delivery and payment innovation, and regulatory policy, as our guest speaker at our next HealthTech Tribe event, Thursday May 25th on Accelerating Healthtech and Biomedical Innovation in Singapore and SE Asia: Lessons from the US.
Singapore is a recognized leader in the world when it comes to fostering innovation and has done so through building the necessary enablers in talent, innovation and partnership. The 2016 Global Innovation Index (GII) ranked Singapore at number 6 in the world (up from 7th in 2015) only just behind countries like the USA, UK and Switzerland.
The challenge for regulators is to be able to adapt quickly enough to accommodate the pace of innovation without undermining their necessary role. Not getting this right will often prove to be a limiting factor for innovators.
During this exclusive and unique event, Dr Mark McClellan will share his insights and recommendations to develop better evidence on medical products and practices from “real-world” data systems that can enhance health tech progress in Singapore and Asia.
